Forecast consensus from global and regional models supports the strong market-implied probability for a 24°C minimum in Shanghai on September 13, reflecting stable high-pressure conditions, northeasterly flow, and moderate humidity that limit overnight radiative cooling. Official guidance shows daytime highs near 30°C with overnight lows settling around 23–24°C under mostly clear skies, consistent with typical mid-September climatology for the region. Trader positioning aligns with this evidence-based outlook from agencies like the China Meteorological Administration, where small uncertainties in boundary-layer mixing or minor cloud development could still shift the exact reading by 1°C but are unlikely to alter the dominant outcome given current model agreement.
