**Forecast consensus from the Met Office, ECMWF, and GFS ensembles points to a maximum of 20–21 °C in London on 8 September, with the spread between those two values driving the near-even market odds.** Westerly flow behind a weakening front is expected to limit daytime heating while allowing some breaks of sun; ensemble members differ mainly on the timing and extent of any residual cloud or light showers, which can swing the peak by 1 °C. This range sits close to the early-September climatological average for central London stations. The next high-resolution model cycles and the Met Office’s updated guidance will be the key near-term catalysts for any shift in implied probabilities.
