Recent forecasts from the Finnish Meteorological Institute and European models indicate a highest temperature in Helsinki on September 9 most likely between 17–18°C, supported by southwesterly flow, moderate cloud cover, and light precipitation chances of 20–50%. These conditions limit daytime heating compared to clear-sky scenarios while keeping values above the long-term September average of 16.6°C. Model consensus shows minor spreads in peak readings due to variations in timing of any showers and boundary-layer moisture, directly explaining the near-even market split between 17°C and 18°C. Updated runs over the next 24–48 hours from agencies like FMI will refine the exact maximum before resolution.
