Recent forecasts from the China Meteorological Administration and international models indicate a highest temperature of 23–25°C for Chengdu on September 12, aligning with the closely matched market-implied odds around those levels. Persistent cloud cover, light rain or showers, and residual effects from a recent cold air intrusion across the Sichuan Basin are suppressing daytime highs below the seasonal mid-September average of roughly 25–26°C. Low wind speeds and high humidity further limit warming, while model consensus shows limited variability in steering patterns over the next 48 hours. Updated runs from official agencies will refine exact maxima before resolution.
