**Forecast consensus from the National Weather Service places the September 17 high in New York City in the low-to-mid 80s under partly to mostly sunny skies and a southerly flow.** This setup favors the market-leading 80–81°F bin at 43% implied probability, followed by 82–83°F at 30.5%, as models show modest warming from recent 70s readings without strong high pressure or downslope effects to push readings higher. Increasing afternoon cloud cover and a low-end chance of showers introduce slight cooling potential that caps upside at 84–85°F (12.5%), while 78–79°F retains 18% support if marine influence or earlier cloud build-up dominates. Historical mid-September Central Park averages near 77°F provide context, but the current pattern aligns with the warmer side of recent analogs. Updated NWS guidance and real-time observations through the afternoon will refine these probabilities ahead of market resolution.
