Official National Weather Service forecasts and supporting model guidance indicate a high near 100°F for Dallas on September 17 under mostly sunny skies with light southerly flow and heat indices reaching 106°F. This places the most probable official maximum in the upper 90s, aligning with trader emphasis on the 98-99°F bin as the consensus outcome. Persistent high pressure and above-normal temperatures following 100°F+ readings the prior two days support limited cooling, though afternoon cloud cover or slight steering shifts could cap the peak near 97°F. Updated observations through the afternoon and final NWS verification will determine resolution within the narrow 96-101°F range that dominates market-implied probabilities.
