Latest National Weather Service and model guidance for San Francisco on September 20 point to an overnight low near 58°F, aligning with the market’s leading 58-59°F bin at 51% implied probability. Persistent marine-layer stratus and moderate west-to-southwest onshore flow limit radiational cooling, while the weakening North Pacific High reduces the typical summer inversion strength that often produces cooler readings. Historical September 20 averages near 56°F provide context, yet current conditions favor the upper end of the normal range. Traders are monitoring any late-model shifts in cloud cover or wind that could alter minimum temperatures before resolution.
