National Weather Service forecasts for San Francisco on September 9 point to partly cloudy conditions with a high near 84°F at downtown stations and up to 88°F near the airport, driven by weakening onshore flow and reduced marine layer influence compared to the mild 69–71°F readings earlier in the month. Trader consensus clusters around 90–93°F because models show sensitivity to exact wind patterns and afternoon heating that could push temperatures into the upper 80s or low 90s if the marine layer erodes more than expected, while historical September averages near 70°F and recent cool conditions underscore the uncertainty. Key variables include steering winds, dew point trends, and any last-minute model shifts before the daily maximum is recorded.
