Current forecasts for Mexico City on September 2 center on daily highs of 23–25°C, aligning with trader emphasis on 24°C (43% implied probability) followed by 23°C and 25°C. Mexico City’s high elevation (~2,240 m) produces moderate daytime maxima even in the rainy season, when frequent afternoon thunderstorms and cloud cover—driven by monsoon moisture and orographic lift—limit peak heating and introduce timing uncertainty that can shift the observed high by 1–2°C. Recent model runs from sources such as the Met Office, WeatherBug, and others show consistent guidance around 24–25°C (76–77°F) under partly cloudy skies with an 80% storm chance, close to the September climatological average of ~23–24°C. Updated short-range model outputs and radar trends over the next 48 hours remain the key variables that could refine these market-implied odds.
