Recent National Weather Service forecasts project a minimum temperature in the mid-60s°F for New York City on September 12, following several days of above-average warmth with highs near 80–88°F and limited overnight cooling. This aligns with typical early-September climatology (average low around 63°F) but incorporates current steering patterns and possible cloud cover that could moderate radiative cooling. The market's leading 49% implied probability on 76°F or higher reflects trader consensus on persistent mild conditions or forecast uncertainty, while the 24% on 57°F or below accounts for downside risks from clearer skies or northerly flow shifts. NOAA model updates over the next 48 hours remain the key near-term catalyst.
