These conditions support modest instability that can limit peak heating through cloud cover and brief rainfall, keeping readings close to the 1991–2020 August climatological average high of 88–89°F at Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport. Recent model runs show limited spread, with only modest differences in timing of convection or boundary-layer moisture that could shift the daily maximum by a degree or two.
