As the Democratic incumbent seeking a second term, Hobbs benefits from consistent polling leads of 6–10 points statewide in recent surveys, with particularly strong support among independents, women, and urban/suburban voters in the state's largest county. Biggs secured the GOP nomination in the July primary but trails in head-to-head matchups, reflecting narrower appeal outside rural areas. Recent campaign developments, including Democratic efforts to consolidate support ahead of the general election, have reinforced expectations that Maricopa's voter composition will favor the incumbent over the challenger.
