**Recent polling in the run-up to the September 6, 2026, Saxony-Anhalt Landtag election shows Grüne and BSW both hovering near the 5% electoral threshold, with Grüne typically at 4–5% and BSW at 4–5%.** The latest surveys (Pollytix early August, INSA late July/early August, Infratest dimap late July) place the two parties within sampling margins, though Grüne edges ahead or ties in most aggregates. Grüne benefits from its current parliamentary presence, established state organization, and a campaign focused on climate policy, education access, and positioning as a barrier to AfD influence. BSW, contesting its first state election in Saxony-Anhalt, draws from its stronger 2025 federal result in the state but faces internal divisions, dual lead candidates, and public statements prioritizing opposition over coalition participation. Sahra Wagenknecht has joined campaign events, yet recent member exits have highlighted organizational challenges. With roughly two weeks until election day, the trader-implied probability of 68% for Grüne obtaining more votes reflects its modest but consistent polling advantage and incumbency edge over the newer BSW, amid stable late-campaign conditions and no decisive shifts in voter intention data. Both parties continue intensive final-week mobilization to secure or surpass the threshold.
