Persistent heat and high humidity across North Texas, with southerly flow and mostly clear skies, are keeping overnight radiative cooling limited and supporting elevated minimum temperatures near 80–82 °F for Dallas on August 31. Official guidance from multiple forecast models shows lows in the upper 70s to low 80s, consistent with the market’s closely matched probabilities for the 80–81 °F and 82–83 °F bins. The absence of a frontal passage or increased cloud cover through the period reduces the chance of meaningfully cooler readings, while typical late-August climatology (average low near 75 °F) underscores how anomalous the current warmth remains. Updated National Weather Service runs tonight will provide the final observational benchmark ahead of market resolution.
