Apple announced the iPhone 18 Pro on September 9, 2026, confirming a $1,199 starting price for the 256GB model—a $100 increase over the prior generation. The hike stems from sharply higher memory chip costs, with DRAM and NAND prices surging amid AI-driven demand, pushing component expenses up roughly 38 percent year-over-year according to supply-chain analyses. Apple offset some costs through design efficiencies and in-house components but passed along a moderated increase after earlier forecasts of $200-plus rises. Pre-orders opened September 12 with availability set for September 18, aligning with typical launch timelines and providing clear resolution criteria for any related prediction markets.

This market will resolve based on the pre-tax launch price in USD of the standard edition of the iPhone 18 Pro as listed on the official Apple Store website or Apple's retail pricing in the United States on the first official day of its release.

If the iPhone 18 Pro is not released by March 31, 2027, 11:59 PM ET, this market will resolve to "No".
The primary resolution source for this market will be the official Apple Store (online or retail pricing), however a consensus of credible reporting will also be used.
