Revisions to temperatures recorded within this market's timeframe will be considered until the first datapoint for the following date has been published, after which any alterations will not be considered.Official forecasts from the National Weather Service and local models project a high in the upper 90s for Houston on August 30 under mostly sunny skies, with light southerly winds and dew points near 77°F supporting heat indices above 105. The narrow 50-47.5% split between 96-97°F and 94-95°F reflects uncertainty over whether a 20% chance of afternoon convection will initiate early enough to cap temperatures or allow peak insolation to reach the higher end of guidance. Above the 91.8°F climatological average, the outcome hinges on exact storm timing and boundary-layer mixing before evening cooling.
