This market will resolve to the temperature range that contains the highest temperature recorded by NOAA at the Helsinki Vantaa Airport Station in degrees Celsius on 6 Sep '26. The resolution source for this market will be information from NOAA, specifically the highest reading under the "Temp" column for all times on this day, available here: https://www.weather.gov/wrh/timeseries?site=efhk If NOAA data for the observation date is unavailable by 11:59 PM ET on the day following the observation date, the Weather Underground Daily Observations table will be used as the resolution source. In the event that there is no data for the observation date by 11:59 PM ET on the day following the observation date, this market will resolve to the lowest bracket. To toggle between Fahrenheit and Celsius, click the "Switch to Metric Units" button until the relevant table displays °C. This market will resolve once the first data point for the following date has been published on the resolution source, or by 11:59 PM ET on the day following the observation date, whichever comes first. The resolution source for this market measures temperatures to whole degrees Celsius (eg, 9°C). Thus, this is the level of precision that will be used when resolving the market. Revisions to temperatures recorded within this market's timeframe will be considered until the first datapoint for the following date has been published, after which any alterations will not be considered.**Forecast consensus from multiple meteorological models centers the highest temperature in Helsinki on September 6, 2026, near 15°C, aligning with the market's strong 65% implied probability for that outcome.** Current conditions on September 5 feature partly cloudy skies, northwest winds of 5–12 mph, and daytime highs around 15–18°C (59–64°F), with overnight lows dropping to 7–10°C. Official guidance from sources including the Finnish Meteorological Institute, Foreca, Yr.no, and global models (GFS/ECMWF) projects a similar regime for September 6: continued northwesterly flow advecting cooler maritime air, partly cloudy skies, and light winds limiting daytime warming. Highs are expected to reach 15–17°C, with most runs clustering at 15–16°C; minimums near 8–10°C overnight. This places the daily maximum comfortably within the 14–16°C range that accounts for over 97% of market probability. September climatology supports moderate values—the 1991–2020 average high is 17.1°C—but recent model runs show a slight cool bias from persistent northwesterly steering, consistent with the observed pattern. No significant warm-air advection, clear-sky radiative heating, or model divergence toward extremes appears imminent, keeping probabilities for 17°C+ or 13°C and below very low. Updated short-range guidance and any overnight model shifts will be the primary near-term drivers for final resolution.
