Current National Weather Service and ensemble model guidance for Miami on September 15 projects overnight lows in the upper 70s to low 80s°F amid persistent tropical moisture and weak steering flow that limits significant cold-air advection. Recent Saharan dust outbreaks have suppressed afternoon convection, helping sustain warmer minimum temperatures compared with the historical September average low near 77°F at Miami International Airport. With no strong frontal passages expected in the next 48 hours, trader consensus reflected in the 50% implied probability for 71°F or below likely incorporates model spread around potential brief radiational cooling under partly cloudy skies and the inherent uncertainty in short-range temperature forecasts from agencies like NOAA. Updated model runs and local NWS briefings over the next day could shift these odds if drier air arrives earlier than anticipated.
