Recent National Weather Service and model guidance point to partly cloudy to sunny conditions on September 7 after Sunday showers, with onshore flow and a variable marine layer expected to moderate coastal highs into the low-to-mid 80s at downtown and airport stations while inland areas trend warmer. Ensemble spreads reflect uncertainty in the precise strength of the sea breeze and cloud cover timing, which historically keeps Los Angeles September daily highs near the 76–77 °F climatological average yet can allow brief excursions several degrees higher when subsidence strengthens. Traders therefore assign roughly equal implied probability across the 76–85 °F resolution bins, consistent with the narrow range separating typical marine-influenced outcomes from those requiring clearer skies and reduced boundary-layer moisture.
