Recent National Weather Service and model consensus forecasts indicate a daytime high in the lower 90s °F for Houston on September 6, driven by typical early-September subtropical conditions with light easterly winds, high humidity, and afternoon thunderstorm development that limits peak heating. Official guidance from NWS Houston/Galveston shows highs near 91–93 °F amid partly sunny skies transitioning to scattered storms, consistent with the 1991–2020 climatological average high of 91 °F. Recent days with similar setups produced highs of 92–96 °F, supporting trader emphasis on the 90–93 °F range while cloud cover and precipitation introduce modest downside risk to the upper end. Updated model runs and NWS briefings ahead of the peak heating period remain the key near-term catalysts.
