Recent episodes of ABC World News Tonight with David Muir have hovered near 8.3 million total viewers amid a steady news cycle featuring severe Midwest storms, a 7.4-magnitude Colombia earthquake, a fatal U.S. Army Apache helicopter crash, and international developments involving Iran and Turkey. With no singular breaking story dominating headlines this week, daily ratings lack the sharp spikes that typically lift one broadcast well above the pack. Traders see the most-viewed episode likely landing in the 7–9.5 million range, where modest day-to-day swings driven by weather coverage or late-breaking political updates can shift the winner. Historical consistency around 8 million, combined with limited event-driven momentum, keeps the buckets tightly clustered and prevents any single outcome from pulling ahead decisively.
