**The Liberec mayoral market remains tightly balanced around 44-50% implied probabilities for leading names because the October 2026 municipal elections are still months away and no dominant frontrunner has emerged.** SLK, the party that currently leads the city council coalition, has nominated Lukáš Hájek to succeed term-limited incumbent Jaroslav Zámečník, preserving institutional continuity while introducing a younger local figure. Rival groupings, including ANO-linked candidates, the new Libe! coalition headed by Tibor Batthyány, and independents such as Jiří Veselka and Tomáš Rec, are fielding competitive lists that fragment the vote. Council arithmetic, potential post-election coalitions, and the absence of recent public polling keep trader consensus diffuse. Clear separation is most likely after candidate registration closes, the first wave of local polls appears, or major policy contrasts on transport, housing, and city finances sharpen distinctions among the main contenders.
