Republican incumbent Brad Finstad holds a clear edge in Minnesota's 6th congressional district heading into the 2026 midterm cycle. Early polling from March shows him leading the leading Democratic challenger by 8-10 points among likely voters, consistent with the district's consistent Republican tilt in recent cycles. Fundraising, name recognition, and structural advantages for the incumbent continue to anchor trader consensus around an 82-cent probability for the Republican nominee. Limited Democratic recruitment momentum and the absence of major scandals or redistricting shifts have kept the race from tightening meaningfully since the start of the year. Scheduled primaries in August will clarify the field but are unlikely to alter the overall outlook absent unexpected developments.

A candidate without a ballot-listed affiliation to either the Democrat or Republican parties will be considered a member of one of these parties based on the party with which they most recently expressed their intent to caucus at the time all of the House elections are conclusively called by this market's resolution sources.

If there is ambiguity, this market will resolve based solely on the official results as reported by the United States government, specifically the Federal Election Commission (https://www.fec.gov/).
