Early positioning for the June 2027 Baja California Sur gubernatorial contest keeps probabilities clustered among leading contenders. Morena holds a statewide voter-intention edge near 40 percent in recent surveys, yet its open internal selection process features closely matched aspirants including Milena Quiroga Romero, Christian Agúndez Gómez, and Manuel Cota Cárdenas, with no candidate consolidating broad support. The PAN’s Francisco Pelayo Covarrubias leads that party’s preferences and positions it as the main opposition option. High undecided shares and ongoing party negotiations limit separation among frontrunners. Scheduled internal votes and coalition talks over the coming months represent the clearest near-term catalysts that could shift relative positioning reflected in current trader pricing.
