Adilet, formed in April 2026 and strengthened by its June merger with the former ruling Amanat party, functions as the primary pro-presidential force ahead of the August 23 Kurultai elections for Kazakhstan’s new 145-seat unicameral legislature. The party, chaired by former presidential administration head Aibek Dädebay and backed by President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, secured the largest candidate list among seven registered parties following Central Election Commission approvals in July. This consolidation of the dominant political bloc under the post-referendum constitutional framework, combined with the absence of comparably resourced competitors, underpins trader consensus on Adilet securing the 73 seats required for majority control. The vote represents the first test of the restructured party-list system.
