Recent National Weather Service forecasts and supporting model guidance indicate a daytime high in the mid-70s for New York City on September 6, with Central Park and area airports projected near 76–77°F under mostly sunny to partly cloudy skies and light northeast winds. This pattern follows a period of variable early-September temperatures and reflects below-average conditions relative to the 1991–2020 climatological high of 79.5°F, driven by northerly flow limiting daytime warming. Trader consensus has concentrated on the 76–77°F outcome at 52% implied probability, with secondary support for 74–75°F, as ensemble runs show limited upside potential for 78°F or higher absent unexpected mixing or clearing. Official observations from the primary reporting station will resolve the market once the daily maximum is recorded.
