Official National Weather Service forecasts for Houston on September 11 indicate a high near 91–93°F amid partly sunny skies and a 40–50% chance of afternoon thunderstorms driven by Gulf moisture and daytime heating. This pattern, typical for mid-September, supports trader emphasis on the 90–91°F bin as the modal outcome while capping upside potential through convective cloud cover and sea-breeze effects that moderate peak temperatures. Recent days have featured similar conditions with observed highs of 91–93°F and heat indices exceeding 100°F, aligning with the 28% probability assigned to 88–89°F and the lower odds for 92°F+. Historical averages near 90°F provide baseline context, but short-term model consensus favors values clustered around the current leading range before tomorrow’s official reading resolves the market.
