Recent polling in Berlin has shown the AfD reaching 17–19% support while the Greens stand at 16–18%, marking instances where the AfD has edged ahead for the first time in city-level surveys ahead of the September 20, 2026, state election. This shift aligns with the AfD’s broader national gains amid debates over immigration policy, housing costs, and dissatisfaction with the current CDU-SPD governing arrangement. The Greens, by contrast, have experienced consistent declines in recent state and federal contests, reflecting reduced appeal among younger and urban voters who have shifted toward Die Linke in some measures. Traders’ 66% implied probability for the AfD receiving more votes reflects these polling differentials and the limited time remaining for reversal before election day.

This market will resolve to “Grüne” if Grüne wins more valid second votes (Zweitstimme) than AfD in the specified election.

This market will resolve based on the results of this election as indicated by a consensus of credible reporting. If there is ambiguity, this market will resolve based solely on the official results as reported by the Election Office of Berlin (Landeswahlleiter Berlin https://www.berlin.de/wahlen/).
