Recent polling aggregates show the Parti Québécois and Coalition Avenir Québec locked in a tight race for first and second in popular vote, with the Quebec Liberal Party consistently third around 20-24 percent while the Parti Conservateur du Québec sits fourth near 14-15 percent. The PLQ maintains a strong base among anglophone and allophone voters concentrated on the Island of Montreal, which supports its implied probability of finishing third despite weaker francophone numbers elsewhere. A late-August Synopsis poll indicated CAQ gains of seven points, drawn partly from PLQ support amid concerns over U.S. tariffs and economic stability, while QS and PCQ remain lower but regionally competitive in areas such as Quebec City. With the October 5 election campaign just underway and roughly half of voters open to switching preferences, regional fragmentation and last-minute shifts in francophone support could still alter third-place ordering among the PLQ, CAQ, or PCQ.
