Recent polling shows the Parti Québécois holding a narrow lead near 28 percent ahead of the October 5 election, leaving a tight contest for second place among the Quebec Liberal Party, Coalition Avenir Québec, and Parti Conservateur du Québec. The PLQ has rebounded in several September surveys, particularly in the Montreal region, while the CAQ has slipped amid incumbency fatigue and scrutiny over spending overruns during the campaign. The PCQ continues to gain ground among certain voter segments but trails the top contenders. Multiple leaders’ debates and regional variations in support have kept probabilities closely matched, with traders pricing the Liberals slightly ahead for second on the basis of current momentum and seat-projection models.
