General elections in Bosnia and Herzegovina are scheduled to be held on October 4, 2026. This market will resolve according to the listed individual elected to serve as the Bosniak member of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina as a result of this election. The primary resolution source for this market will be official information from the Central Election Commission of Bosnia and Herzegovina (izbori.ba); however, a consensus of credible reporting may also be used. The October 2026 Bosnian general election, set for 4 October, features a direct contest for the Bosniak seat on the tripartite Presidency between incumbent Denis Bećirović of the SDP and Bakir Izetbegović of the SDA. Bećirović, who defeated Izetbegović in 2022 and has secured backing from over a dozen additional parties, benefits from incumbency and recent international engagements. Izetbegović draws on SDA’s longstanding organizational strength among Bosniak voters. Semir Efendić and other minor candidates appear positioned to fragment the field. Trader consensus reflects these party dynamics, coalition alignments, and vote-splitting risks in the Federation ahead of the vote.
