Persistent high pressure and southerly flow from a weakening tropical system have maintained warm, humid conditions across North Texas, with official National Weather Service forecasts projecting overnight lows in the upper 70s to low 80s for September 5. Recent observations show minimum temperatures holding near 77–78°F amid mostly clear skies and light winds that limit radiational cooling, while dew points in the upper 60s to low 70s sustain elevated overnight readings. This pattern aligns with climatological norms for early September in Dallas, where average lows hover around 74°F but recent days have trended warmer due to the absence of frontal passages. Market-implied probabilities favoring 78–81°F outcomes reflect trader assessment of these stable atmospheric conditions and limited model spread in short-term guidance, with only minor revisions possible from localized variations in cloud cover or wind.
