Official National Weather Service forecasts for September 5, 2026, center the daily maximum near 81°F at LaGuardia Airport, driven by a post-frontal northerly wind shift that advected drier, cooler air following mid-week highs in the mid-80s. Mostly sunny skies with light 5–10 mph north-northwest winds and modest boundary-layer mixing are limiting afternoon heating close to the early-September climatological average of 80°F. Ensemble model consensus shows tight clustering in the upper 70s to low 80s, with minimal spread on peak timing or dew-point suppression, positioning the 80–81°F bin as the dominant market outcome while secondary probabilities on adjacent ranges reflect residual uncertainty in exact insolation and wind trajectory.
