Recent polling for Berlin’s September 20 state election shows AfD support at 17–19 percent compared with SPD levels of 12–15 percent, a consistent margin that has widened over the summer. This gap aligns with AfD gains across multiple 2026 Landtag contests and the party’s first-time topping of some Berlin surveys, while SPD faces ongoing national and local weakness. Traders price the implied probability at 85 percent for AfD receiving more votes because current vote-intention data and turnout patterns indicate limited near-term reversal before election day.
