Recent polls for Berlin’s September 20 Abgeordnetenhaus election show a narrow contest among the Linke, CDU, and AfD for the top positions, with the Linke frequently edging ahead at 20-23% while the CDU and AfD hover around 18-21%. This volatility stems from the CDU’s leadership transition after Kai Wegner’s withdrawal and the AfD’s steady gains, keeping second-place probabilities closely matched between the CDU and AfD according to trader consensus. Smaller parties like the Grüne and SPD trail further back, with limited momentum to challenge the frontrunners before election day. Late shifts in turnout or voter preferences among urban and eastern districts could still alter the final ordering.
