Coinbase (COIN) shares trade near $150 amid crypto market conditions and the July 30 Q2 earnings release, which showed record 10.3% trading market share and 14 straight quarters of positive adjusted EBITDA but triggered a sharp selloff on softer-than-expected results. Bitcoin prices hovering around $60,000–$65,000 and August seasonal weakness remain the dominant near-term driver of platform volumes and revenue, while revenue diversification into USDC holdings and non-trading services provides some offset. Upcoming catalysts include White House crypto policy discussions this week, potential SEC clarity measures, and Q3 results expected in late October, all of which could shift implied probabilities around key price thresholds for the week.
