California's 14th congressional district conducted its June 2, 2026, top-two primary to fill the open U.S. House seat. State Senator Aisha Wahab, a Democrat with prior endorsement from the state party, led partial returns with roughly 37 percent of the vote. Fellow Democrat Melissa Hernandez followed at about 17 percent, while Republican Wendy Huang stood near 15 percent.
