Recent polling shows the Parti Québécois maintaining a narrow lead near 28-30% amid the October 5 election campaign, while the Coalition Avenir Québec has surged under new leader Christine Fréchette to tie or trail closely at 23-27%, drawing support from the Parti libéral du Québec amid U.S. trade tensions and francophone voter shifts. This dynamic leaves the PLQ clustered around 20-24% overall despite stronger Montreal-region backing, positioning it as the frontrunner for third place in trader assessments. The Conservative Party of Quebec holds steady near 14-16% with pockets of strength outside major cities, while Québec solidaire and the Parti Québécois trail further behind in aggregate projections. High undecided voters and regional fragmentation sustain uncertainty around final rankings.
