This market will resolve to the temperature range that contains the highest temperature recorded by the Hong Kong Observatory in degrees Celsius on 25 Jul '26. The resolution source for this market will be information from the Hong Kong Observatory, specifically the "Absolute Daily Max (deg. C)" the specified date once information is finalized in the relevant "Daily Extract", available here: https://www.weather.gov.hk/en/cis/climat.htm This market can not resolve until data for this date has been published. The resolution source for this market measures temperatures in Celsius to one decimal place (eg, 9.1°C). Thus, this is the level of precision that will be used when resolving the market. Any revisions to temperatures recorded after data is initially published for this market's timeframe will not be considered for this market's resolution.**Trader sentiment centers on the Hong Kong Observatory's short-range forecast of a 33°C maximum for July 25, with a minimum around 27°C amid persistent moisture and showers.** Recent unsettled conditions, including amber rainstorm warnings and above-normal rainfall through mid-to-late July, favor cloud cover that limits daytime heating and caps extremes near the seasonal average of 31–32°C. Subtropical summer dynamics—high humidity, southerly flow, and potential tropical cyclone influences farther east—introduce variability, with model spreads allowing for modest afternoon clearing that could push readings to 34°C or keep them at 32°C depending on exact timing of convection. The tight clustering around 32–34°C (over 90% combined probability) reflects these narrow forecast uncertainties two days out, rather than any dramatic shift in broader seasonal signals of normal-to-above-normal temperatures.
