Recent National Weather Service and private model guidance points to a Friday peak in the upper 80s to low 90s amid building instability, with a 60-70% chance of showers and thunderstorms after midday. Afternoon convection and associated cloud cover or outflow boundaries are the key variables that could truncate heating before temperatures reach 93 °F or allow a brief spike near 90-91 °F if storms hold off. Dew points in the low 70s and light southerly flow support high heat-index values but also favor scattered storms that historically limit daily maxima by 2-4 °F once they develop. The narrow spread among the three leading bins reflects this timing uncertainty ahead of the next model cycle and updated NWS discussion.
