The dominant 93% market-implied odds on a 78-79°F low for Miami on September 16, 2026, reflect the official National Weather Service observation of a 79°F minimum at Miami International Airport early that morning. This value aligned with above-average overnight conditions under a moist, easterly flow that limited radiational cooling, amid scattered thunderstorms and highs reaching 92°F later in the day. Historical September lows average near 77°F, but recent model consensus and real-time station data consistently pointed to limited overnight drops. Only unexpected post-event data revisions or alternative station readings could realistically shift resolution away from this narrow bin.
