This market will resolve to "Yes" if the Close price for Alphabet Inc. (GOOGL) on August 18, 2026 is higher than the listed price. Otherwise, this market will resolve to "No." If the two specified prices are exactly equal, this market will resolve to "No". Closing prices will be used exactly as published by Pyth, without rounding. If Alphabet Inc. (GOOGL) does not trade at all during the regular session, the market will resolve 50-50. These figures reinforced the AI growth narrative but triggered a post-earnings pullback after management raised full-year capex guidance to $195–205 billion, highlighting elevated spending on compute capacity. Over the past month the stock has declined roughly 7%, reflecting valuation concerns tied to that spending trajectory despite robust top-line momentum and a 52-week high near $409. Recent institutional activity, including Berkshire Hathaway increasing its stake by about $17 billion in mid-August filings, has provided some support. With the next earnings release not due until late October, tomorrow’s close will hinge on broader equity-market sentiment, Treasury yield movements, and any incremental AI or regulatory news rather than company-specific catalysts. Traders are pricing in continued volatility around current levels given the balance between accelerating revenue growth and heavy capital investment.
