Tom Pelphrey leads the market at 46% implied probability on the strength of his breakout performance as the conflicted robber Robbie Prendergrast in the critically acclaimed HBO limited series Task, where his layered, empathetic work has generated consistent industry narrative and precursor momentum. The Pitt’s three nominees—Patrick Ball at 29.5%, Shawn Hatosy at 14.6%, and Gerran Howell at 1%—reflect the show’s dominant ensemble buzz and 25 total nominations, yet vote-splitting among its supporting actors has tempered individual odds despite strong guild and critics’ recognition. Billy Crudup benefits from prior Emmy pedigree on The Morning Show at 6.8%, while Jack Lowden’s Slow Horses acclaim and Carlos-Manuel Vesga’s Pluribus recognition round out a crowded field. With final voting concluded and the September 14 ceremony days away, traders are pricing in Pelphrey’s perceived edge in a split category.
