Recent KOSPI volatility, including sharp swings around its June peak near 9,385 and a rebound to roughly 6,978 by August 14, reflects concentrated holdings and retail leverage dynamics, with foreign inflows resuming after July outflows. Traders are monitoring upcoming quarterly earnings releases and broader monetary policy signals, including Bank of Korea rate expectations and U.S. dollar movements, which could shift near-term implied probabilities for price thresholds during the August 17 week.
