Lê Quang Liêm claimed the September 8 title on tiebreaks with 9.5/11 ahead of Nakamura, while Hans Niemann and Jan-Krzysztof Duda won the prior two events; a long list of contenders including Aleksei Sarana, Arjun Erigaisi, Alireza Firouzja, and others regularly post strong scores. High variance in short time controls, frequent upsets, and the 11-round format with tiebreak resolution sustain competitive dynamics across dozens of participants.
