The resolution source for this market will be official information from the NCAA (https://www.ncaa.com/stats/football/fbs); however, a consensus of credible reporting may also be used. The 2026 SEC rushing yards race sits tightly bunched early in the season because a deep group of proven backs returns or arrives via transfer with little separating their profiles after 2025 production. Ahmad Hardy led the conference with 1,649 yards for Missouri but remains sidelined while recovering from a May gunshot wound, opening opportunities for teammates like Jamal Roberts. Kewan Lacy (1,567 yards, 24 touchdowns at Ole Miss), Jadan Baugh (1,170 yards at Florida), Nate Frazier (Georgia), DeSean Bishop (Tennessee), and newcomers such as Hollywood Smothers and Raleek Brown (both at Texas) plus Joshua Dye (Ole Miss) all posted strong workloads or efficiency marks last year. Preseason depth charts, offensive line strength, and early-game usage will determine who pulls ahead in a conference where multiple teams feature run-heavy schemes and shared backfields.
