Ella Langley’s “Choosin’ Texas” has commanded the Billboard Hot 100 for 16 weeks as of early August 2026, tying historic marks and setting the record for longest-running No. 1 by a solo female artist on a non-holiday title. Sustained streaming volume, dominant country radio airplay, and crossover appeal have kept the track ahead of the field, with country songs occupying the entire top five for the first time. Trader consensus at 96.9% reflects the absence of major new releases or viral challengers through mid-August, though an unexpected debut from a high-profile artist or sudden streaming surge could still produce an upset before the tracking week closes.
