The Bank of Israel's postponement of its planned late-August meeting to September 1 has anchored the 83% implied probability on no change, as the Monetary Committee focuses on the post-July 25-basis-point cut to 3.5%. Inflation has stabilized near the 1.5% target midpoint, supported by a stronger shekel and lower energy prices following the U.S.-Iran ceasefire, while GDP growth projections of 4% for 2026 leave limited pressure for immediate further easing. Recent staff forecasts indicate the policy rate could reach 3% within a year, but traders price only a modest 17% chance of a September-style 25 bp cut materializing in August given the absence of a scheduled decision and contained price pressures.
