Prosecutors in Utah have presented extensive physical and testimonial evidence against Tyler Robinson in the aggravated murder case stemming from the September 2025 shooting of Charlie Kirk, including DNA links to the weapon and reported admissions, during a multi-day preliminary hearing that concluded in July 2026. A judge is scheduled to decide in early September whether probable cause exists to proceed to trial on charges that carry the possibility of capital punishment. Defense filings continue to challenge death-penalty eligibility and aspects of the evidence, while plea discussions remain possible in the pretrial phase. Trader consensus at 67.5% for conviction reflects the strength of the case presented so far, balanced against standard procedural timelines, unanimous jury requirements in capital matters, and potential resolutions short of a full trial verdict.
