Charlie Crist leads the St. Petersburg mayoral runoff market at 87.5% implied probability, ahead of incumbent Ken Welch at 12.4%, after advancing from the August 18 primary where Crist captured 35% to Welch’s 21%. Recent polling shows Crist extending a double-digit advantage to 52%-27% among likely voters, driven by consolidated endorsements from former mayors, state legislators, and local officials, plus a sustained fundraising edge exceeding Welch’s totals in every recent reporting period. The nonpartisan race heads to the November 3 ballot with no other candidates remaining, though voter turnout patterns and late campaign developments could still influence the final margin.
